Slabster is a product operated by Zillman Intelligence Inc. ("Slabster," "we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect personal information when you use the Slabster website, application, beta programs, dealer/team features, and connected eBay account workflows.
Our privacy contact and person responsible for privacy compliance is Fred Zillman, who can be reached at privacy@slabster.ca. This policy is intended to support compliance with Canadian privacy law, including PIPEDA and applicable provincial privacy laws.
We collect and use personal information with your consent or as otherwise permitted by law. Some information is required to provide the service. If you withdraw consent for required processing, such as eBay OAuth access, AI image processing, billing, or security logging, some Slabster features may stop working or your account may need to be closed.
Optional uses, such as using corrections you submit to improve matching beyond your own request, will be handled through account settings, in-product prompts, or other consent records where required.
Slabster uses Atlas, our self-hosted AI engine, to identify cards, extract listing details, and generate workflow suggestions. If Atlas is unavailable or a request requires fallback processing, card photos and related listing context may be processed by Anthropic's API or another disclosed AI service provider.
AI outputs are informational only. Slabster does not authenticate, grade, appraise, certify, or guarantee any sports card or collectible. You are responsible for reviewing card details, certification numbers, condition, authenticity, pricing, and listing content before publishing or relying on any output.
Authorized Slabster personnel may access uploaded photos, listing records, logs, and AI outputs when needed for support, security, abuse investigation, quality assurance, debugging, or legal compliance. Access is limited to personnel and service providers with a business need.
When you connect eBay, you authorize Slabster to access your eBay account only for the OAuth scopes you approve. We use connected-account data to prepare, publish, revise, monitor, or troubleshoot listings that you choose to manage through Slabster.
You may revoke Slabster's eBay access through Slabster or eBay. After revocation, Slabster will stop using the token for new connected-account actions and will delete or disable stored OAuth tokens promptly, subject to backups, security logs, and legal retention requirements.
We do not sell personal information. We disclose information only as needed to provide Slabster, operate our business, protect users, or comply with law. Service providers may process information only for contracted purposes and are expected to use appropriate safeguards.
Slabster and its service providers may process or store information in Canada, the United States, and other jurisdictions where our providers operate. Personal information processed outside your province or country may be subject to foreign laws and lawful access requests. We use contractual, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to provide a comparable level of protection.
We retain account, inventory, listing, and connected-account records while your account is active and as needed to provide the service. After account closure, we aim to delete or anonymize personal information within 90 days, except that backups may persist for a limited backup lifecycle and certain records may be retained longer for legal, tax, accounting, fraud prevention, security, marketplace dispute, or compliance purposes.
Billing and tax records may be retained for up to seven years. Security logs, audit logs, and abuse records may be retained as reasonably necessary to protect Slabster, users, and connected services. OAuth tokens are deleted or disabled promptly after account disconnection or closure, subject to backup lifecycle limits.
We use safeguards designed for the sensitivity of the information we process, including encryption in transit, password hashing, access controls, token protection, least-privilege permissions, audit logging, segmented production access, monitoring, backups, and vendor oversight. No system can be guaranteed completely secure.
Subject to legal limits, you may request access to your personal information, correction of inaccurate information, deletion of your account, withdrawal of optional consent, or information about our privacy practices. Contact privacy@slabster.ca. We may need to verify your identity before responding.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or the applicable provincial privacy regulator.
If we become aware of a security incident involving personal information, we will assess it and, where required by law, notify affected individuals and regulators. We maintain records of privacy incidents as required by applicable law.
We use session cookies and similar technologies required for login, security, CSRF protection, preferences, diagnostics, and service operation. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. If we add analytics, pixels, or marketing cookies, we will update this policy and provide any consent controls required by law.
Transactional messages about your account, billing, security, and service use are part of operating Slabster. Marketing emails, newsletters, beta invitations, and promotional messages will include required sender identification, our mailing address (Zillman Intelligence Inc., 76 Hollyberry Drive, Paradise, NL A1L 0C7, Canada), and unsubscribe options as required by Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation.
Slabster is not directed to children or users under the age of majority in their province, state, or country. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with an updated date, and we may provide additional notice through the app or by email where appropriate.
